I've now got the photographs of our Steep Holm trip from Dru. I've put some of my favourites under the cut.

Ever the flibbertigibbet, I'm off again now for a few days, to revisit my friends Ronald and Ana (and others) on the Gower Peninsula, where we'll be devoting the weekend to the myth of Perseus, a subject about which I know little more now than I did at the age of 10 - but that's all about to change. I will be netless until Sunday, and until then I leave the digital world in the capable hands of you, oh friends list.

Very cool pictures!

And I'm hoping we can find each other amidst the crowds at Loncon and meet in person.

I'm sure we will. I'll only be there till Saturday, but that gives us time!

I'm going to Fantasycon rather than DWJ later, but I'll be in London earlier, if that helps at all.

I'll be arriving in London on the 13th (for a panel earlyish on the 14th), so maybe we could meet up then? Email me!

yes!

Lovely pics.

The only island I'm familiar with down your way is Lundy which is a very special place for me.

I'd love to go there, and see the horses. It's high on my list.

To really get the flavour, you need to stay a few days.

Sounds lovely. It's not an option on Steep Holm, of course.

The Landmark Trust run the cottages and stuff for the National Trust so they are available as lets.

Houseleek!

I like you and the seal especially. And the island, which I cannot look at without thinking of you.

So that's what it's doing precariously stuck on the roof.

And the island, which I cannot look at without thinking of you.

Yes! Thanks to the way that we come to identify icons with their users, whenever I see her pictures of Steep Holm, I actually feel like I am looking at steepholm herself.

I feel that way too, pace John Donne.

No man is an island, but a woman may be?

(always late with the commenting...)

Apparently so!
